Visiting all Tokyo Pokemon Centers in 1 day

These itinerary’s are perfect for anyone who wants or needs to fit in a visit to all four Tokyo Pokémon Centers in 1 day. Not including Tokyo Bay as despite it’s name, this Center is actually located in the city of Funabashi.

To give you a bit of insight, you should definitely expect it to be a bit of a long day, even if you rush. It will take you about 5 or 6 hours, factoring in a fairly quick lunch stop and other than time spent at the centers (assuming 20 minutes) and traveling, not much else.

Would we recommend this approach? Well, that depends, if you are short on time, you may not have another option, so yes we would. If you see it as a fun adventure, then sure.

That said if you do not enjoy long days, with plenty of walking and commuting, then this approach is probably not for you. Still, there’s plenty to take from it. Train lines, routes if you want to visit one a couple, and so on. Select the starting point most convenient for you below:

Shinjuku does not have its own Pokémon Center. But it’s situated directly between two districts that do. The first one you will visit is in Ikebukuro.

  • To get there from Shinjuku, first, walk to Shinjuku Station.
  • Get a train from the JY Yamanote Line (travelling clockwise) and get off at Ikebukuro Station. This will take roughly 9 minutes (4 stops).

Ikebukuro (Pokémon Center Ikebukuro):

Walk from Ikebukuro Station to the Sunshine City shopping mall where the Center is located on the 2nd floor. This is roughly an 11 minute walk.

  • Once done, walk back to Ikebukuro Station.
  • Get a train from the JY Yamanote line to Ueno/Tokyo clockwise and get off at Tokyo Station (Chiyoda City). This will take roughly 24 minutes and consists of 12 stops.

Tokyo Station (Pokémon Center Tokyo DX):

Walk from Tokyo Station to the Nihonbashi Takashimaya S.C. East Building where the Tokyo DX Center is located on the 5th floor (take the elevator from the pinned building in the map). This is roughly an 11 minute walk.

  • Once done, walk to Nihombashi Station (do NOT go back to Tokyo Station). This will be roughly a 7 minute walk from the Center. Ensure to take the stairs to the underground station on the left sidewalk if facing the northwest direction.
  • Get a train from the Asakusa Line and get off at Oshiage Station (Sumida City). This will take roughly 12 minutes and consists of 7 stops.

Oshiage Station (Pokémon Center Skytree):

Walk from Oshiage Station to the TOKYO Solamachi shopping mall (connected to Oshiage Station) where the Skytree Center is located on the 4th floor. This is roughly a 4 minute walk.

  • Once done, walk back to Oshiage Station. This will be roughly a 4 minute walk from the Center.
  • Get a train from the Z Hanzomon Line and get off at Shibuya Station. This will take roughly 31 minutes and consists of 13 stops.

Shibuya (Pokémon Center Shibuya):

Walk from Shibuya Station to the PARCO building on the 6th floor. It is roughly a 9 minute walk away from the station.

To return back to your starting point of Shinjuku, follow the below steps:

  • Once done, walk to Shibuya Station. This is roughly a 9 minute walk away from PARCO.
  • Get a train from the Fukutoshin Line and get off at Shinjuku Station. This will take roughly 7 minutes (3 stops).

If you require a different ending point, one of our other starting points might be more convenient for you, if not, returning to Shinjuku should make it straightforward to retrace your steps prior to starting the adventure.

Provided you are intending to start from Shibuya, you will be able to immediately check a Pokémon Center off the list.

  • Once done, walk to Shibuya Station. This is roughly a 9 minute walk away from PARCO.
  • Get a train from the Fukutoshin Line and get off at Ikebukuro Station. This will take roughly 17 minutes (7 stops).

Ikebukuro (Pokémon Center Ikebukuro):

Walk from Ikebukuro Station to the Sunshine City shopping mall where the Center is located on the 2nd floor. This is roughly an 11 minute walk.

  • Once done, walk back to Ikebukuro Station.
  • Get a train from the JY Yamanote line to Ueno/Tokyo clockwise and get off at Tokyo Station (Chiyoda City). This will take roughly 24 minutes and consists of 12 stops.

Tokyo Station (Pokémon Center Tokyo DX):

Walk from Tokyo Station to the Nihonbashi Takashimaya S.C. East Building where the Tokyo DX Center is located on the 5th floor (take the elevator from the pinned building in the map). This is roughly an 11 minute walk.

To return back to your starting point of Shibuya, follow the below steps:

  • Once done, walk back to Oshiage Station. This will be roughly a 4 minute walk from the Center.
  • Get a train from the Z Hanzomon Line and get off at Shibuya Station. This will take roughly 31 minutes and consists of 13 stops.

If you require a different ending point, one of our other starting points might be more convenient for you, if not, returning to Shibuya should make it straightforward to retrace your steps prior to starting the adventure.

Fortunately Ikebukuro has it’s own Center. Make your way to the Sunshine City shopping mall where the Center is located on the 2nd floor.

  • Once done, walk to Shibuya Station. This is roughly a 9 minute walk away from PARCO.
  • Get a train from the Saikyō Line and get off at Ikebukuro Station. This will take roughly 10 minutes (2 stops).

If you require a different ending point, one of our other starting points might be more convenient for you, if not, returning to Ikebukuro should make it straightforward to retrace your steps prior to starting the adventure.

If you are starting from Chiyoda City (or anywhere near Tokyo Station) you are immediately near your first Center. Walk toward the Nihonbashi Takashimaya S.C. East Building where the Tokyo DX Center is located on the 5th floor (take the elevator from the pinned building in the map).

Sumida is home to the Skytree Pokémon Center, making it an easy place to start. Walk toward the TOKYO Solamachi shopping mall (connected to Oshiage Station) where the Skytree Center is located on the 4th floor.
