PokéPark Kanto

What is Pokémon Kanto:

PokéPark Kanto is arguably one of the most exciting Pokémon experiences in Japan.

It’s a large scale immersive attraction, designed to bring the Pokémon world into real life (or as close as possible).

Unlike other experiences focussed on dining or shopping, PokéPark Kanto recreates the feeling of entering the Pokémon world through:

  • Large scale themed environments.
  • Interactive areas inspired by specific Pokémon habitats.
  • Pokémon ‘encounters‘ and visual installations.
  • Immersive design built with exploration in mind.

The key difference between PokéPark Kanto and other Pokémon themed parks (click here to find out more) stems from PokéPark Kanto being built as an adventure, rather than being a themed location. Please note, you must book/pay to visit.

The Experience:

Visiting PokéPark Kanto almost feels as if you are entering a theme park (albeit it without the rides).

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Exploration focused layouts that encourage discovery and adventure.
  • An attraction/theme park style atmosphere.
  • Plenty of Pokémon displays and scenery.

And more!

This is the closest experience to what it would be like to be in the Pokémon universe.

Why It’s Special:

PokéPark Kanto aims to deliver the same sense of curiosity and wonder that we all remember from Pokémon games. It attempts to do this in a way most other experiences don’t – with scale.

PokéPark Kanto stretches over 26,000 square meters. Make your way through various sections, the forest which spans 500m in length, Sedge Town and more, as you encounter Pokémon, their habitats and even observe battles!

For many fans, it represents the ultimate “what if” experience.

How To Book a Visit:

To check availability and book a date, visit: https://ticket-en.pokepark-kanto.co.jp/

You will have the option to book 1 of 3 pass options:

  • Ace Trainer Pass: This premium ticket provides flexible, all-day access to the park’s primary zones and several exclusive VIP benefits such as meet and greets and exclusive merch.
  • Trainer Pass: This ticket grants a single entry to the Pokémon Forest within a specified time slot (no re-entry allowed), as well as unlimited entry to Sedge Town.
  • Town Pass: This ticket grants entry to Sedge Town. It is intended for guests who cannot enter the Pokémon Forest or only wish to visit Sedge Town.

Prices:

You are able to book 2 months in advance, although as of May 2026, there are NO available spots to books over the next 2 months.

The only way to try is by either accessing the booking page at the point where a new day gets added or to frequently check for an empty slot as a result of a cancellation.

New daily tickets are typically released at 6:00pm JST and due to demand they sell out fast, often within 5 or 10 minutes, so ensure to be on the site in time to have a chance.

Where It Fits in Your Trip:

Visiting PokéPark Kanto is something that is best worked in to your itinerary when planning your trip as it will likely take up one of your days. That said, it is the type of experience that can become one of the most defining memories of your visit to Japan.

Particularly due to the need to book tickets in advance as unfortunately you cannot just turn up and buy tickets on the day.
